New project granted

Regensburg, 2017-03-17: The Wagner lab will participate in the "Trivalent Lassa, Ebola and Marburg viral vaccine" (Tri-LEMvac) consortium, funded by innovate UK and coordinated by Prof. Jonathan Heeney from Darwin College at the University of Cambridge. The project is funded with nearly 700.000 GBP. The aim is to develop a new vaccine vector candidate carrying antigens from three important hemorrhagic fever viruses (Lassa virus, Eboba virus, Marburg virus) that shall be tested for immunogenicity and protection after virus challenges in pre-clinical models. The Wagner lab contribution to the project encompasses gene design and synthesis of the prototype antigens, as well as the generation and characterization of the MVA vaccine vectors.
